Her Majesty's year in review & end of year message

by - 14:49

Hello, Bonjour, everyone, it is that time of the year again, Yes Christmas, Hanukkah and New Years days have arrived again and it is time for my annual end of year message.

2018 let's just say has been in busy one in the Hashemites' household as well as in the royal world. I was very much excited to write this one and with Her Majesty' closing her engagements on Tuesday I said let's get crackin' on the post shall we. This will be a resume of this years' activities and fashion.

Well if I have to summarize 2018 I will say education, health, arts, female empowerment were the theme. There was a lot of travelling both international and national wise. Nationally Her Majesty did a lot of ground work in entrepreneurship, female activism, children, teachers. Internationally Her Majesty went on quite a lot of working visits both alone and accompaning His Majesty King Abdullah II to the UAE, USA, Saudi Arabia, China, Germany and Netherlands.

There were a few highlights for this year and so many of them were blogged and can be found in the Rania's Closet section of the blog. Her Majesty won the most Influential person of the year

We also remember the souls of the dearly departed of the September floods in Amman. Her Majesty accompanied by her sister in laws TRH Princesses Zeina Al Feisal and Rym Ali visited the homes of the victims and because of the events I respected their grief and didnt blog about it.

This year we also remember Jordanians who peacefully protested for change in their country and was accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein. His Majesty listened to his citizens and put in the necessary work and changes in place to make everything work.

This year we also saw the Princess Salma graduating from both IAA and Sandhurst Military Academy after completing 8 weeks of training and will be off to university in January, His Majesty celebrating his 56th birthday, Their Majesties celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, Jordan's 72 National Day, Prince Hashim celebrating a milestone birthday and entering 7 grade as well as his sisters Princesses Iman and Salma's.

Style:
Just like her events which were a mixture of everything, one thing’s for certain Her Majesty for 2018 has given us plenty of wardrobe inspiration for the foresable future.

I will go through my top 10 styles of 2018(In no particular order) and my not so many disappointments. P.s I writing a 2019 style prediction soon.

Compare to 2017 where I was very quite disappointed that this year Her Majesty didn't wear any Jordanian designer this year and they have been no state visit.

Compare to 2017 where I was very quite disappointed with Her Majesty not wearing any Jordanian or Arab designer this year and they have been no state visit, this year has been different. 2019 predictions:

For 2019, unfortunately we never get a schedule ahead of time due to security reasons but I see a full and busy 2019, a maybe attendance at the Japanese coronation ceremony and many others.

The Hashemite Courts released news that Her Majesty's style will be changing with more focus on local and regional designers with a mixture of foreign designers like always.

I will also be starting a Rania's effect and her style for less next year

With that I wish you all a happy holidays and see you next year
