On February 04th 2025, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, accompanied by Italian First Lady Laura Mattarella, paid a visit to the 'Jordan: Dawn of Christianity' exhibition at the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome on Tuesday, where she encouraged Europeans to visit Jordan and discover its rich legacy.

The month-long exhibition, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is a collaboration between Jordan's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the Vatican.

Her Majesty and the Italian First Lady inspected the exhibition, which included 90 artefacts from over 30 distinct archaeological sites in Jordan, with the goal of highlighting the country's historical relevance to Christianity.

Queen Rania of Jordan has invited visitors to an exhibition commemorating 30 years of diplomatic ties between the country and the Holy See. The exhibition showcases Jordan's exceptional cultural wealth and its thriving Christian community, one of the oldest in the world. The Queen praised Jordan's hospitality and the rich history of its ancient civilizations. The displays trace the evolution of Christianity in Jordan across various time periods, from the baptism of Christ to the present Hashemite era.

According to Her Majesty's website, "The exhibition also features artifacts from five pilgrimage sites in Jordan, including Mount Nebo, the memorial of Prophet Moses; Tel Mar Elias, the birthplace of Prophet Elijah; Our Lady of the Mountain Church, a shrine commemorating Mother Mary; Machaerus, the site of John the Baptist’s martyrdom; and the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ.

Coinciding with the Vatican’s Holy Jubilee Year under the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ and featuring archeological items never before displayed outside of Jordan, the exhibition aims to serve as an open invitation for the world to explore Jordan’s spiritual and cultural treasures and its rich biblical landscape.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to Belfast's Conway Education Centre on Tuesday October 3rd, where she met with asylum seekers, refugees, members of the local community, and Belfast City Council representatives to learn about the experiences of displaced people in Northern Ireland.

Speaking to a group of asylum seekers, including children, from the Middle East and Africa, Queen Rania emphasized the crucial work done by the city and people of Belfast to support their refugee community, saying that their continued dedication demonstrates their "generosity of spirit."

Her Majesty praised the Conway Education Centre for giving a lifeline to refugees and asylum seekers by providing a venue where people can develop friendships, rediscover their sense of community, and find "a new lease on life."

She also called successful integration of refugees into resettlement countries as "difficult to quantify," because it provides them with a sense of dignity and belonging, which helps them become productive members of their new communities.

Conway Education Centre began offering English language classes, a homework club for primary and secondary school students, and an annual summer school for refugee families in 2015 to support the city's rising refugee community. The programmes, which are run by teachers and trained volunteers, aim to assist refugees in integrating into the community.

Conway has developed a capacity-building programme to help adult migrants build on their existing abilities and increase their independence, based on input from refugees who have taken its courses. The Belfast City Council-supported programme provides recognised English language, ICT, and advocacy training, as well as parenting classes.

Members of the Art Route Collective, a project founded in 2016 to promote creative and cultural activities within Belfast's refugee and asylum-seeking community, attended the conference in addition to participants in Conway's many refugee programmes.
