Her Majesty Queen Rania paid a visit to Tal Al Rumman Women's Cooperative in Al Balqa' Governorate on Tuesday January 18th to learn more about the cooperative's economic and social development projects for rural women.

During her visit, Her Majesty met with the cooperative's president, Ayda Ghanmeh, and members of its board of directors, who updated her on the cooperative's accomplishments and future goals.

Tal Al Rumman Women's Cooperative, the village's only community-based organization, empowers women via skill-specific training sessions ranging from dairy production workshops to sewing and embroidery.

The cooperative also aspires to generate local job possibilities and promote sustainable development, and it has created a productive kitchen to help Tal Al Rumman's women better their lives via cooking.

The Queen then went on a tour of the cooperative's headquarters, dropping by a food production training session and one of its vegetable farms. She also checked out their hydroponic greenhouse experiment, which uses nutrient solutions instead of soil to grow crops more effectively. This growing method enables the women to reap high food yields without the use of sunlight or additional work.

The cooperative, which was founded in 2017, offers a variety of occupational sectors through its empowerment programs, including agriculture, baking, and sewing, as well as a clothes bank for impoverished families in the neighborhood.

HM Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to Irbid's village of Birgesh on Monday September 13th, where she met a group of Jordan Trail service workers and hiked through Birgesh Forest.

Her Majesty met with Mohammad and Maysoon Dweikat, homestay owners who offer accommodation to trail hikers travelling through Birgesh, after being welcomed by Jordan Trail Association (JTA) CEO Bashir Daoud. Additionally, she visited with other service providers who aid travelers going through the northern portions of the trail.

For example, Queen Rania expressed her admiration for the Jordan Trail's accomplishments during their meeting at their homestay, it has had a good impact on the lives of service providers and trail users. Jordan Trail achieves numerous goals at once, says the Queen, especially if the region delivers high-quality services and is sustainably developed.

Because of worldwide mobility restrictions, Her Majesty said, local tourism has grown in spite of pandemic-related lockdowns. "The previous two years have brought Jordanians closer together and given everyone an opportunity to discover the country's beauty and diversity," she said.

Commending the efforts of organizations such as Jordan Trail, Queen Rania noted that such activities encourage Jordanians to stay in Jordan for weekends and vacations instead of going abroad, noting the rise of positive competition among service providers attracting tourists through mobile applications or by teaching them new skills.

A few minutes after the meeting, Her Majesty took a stroll through Birgesh Forest, where she stopped at Jordan Trail-curated tourism experiences such as mobile photography and art installations.

According to the Jordan Trail Association (JTA), which was founded in 2015 by a group of adventurers, it is responsible for preserving and to keep the trail maintained and accessible to tourists, the Jordan Trail Association was formed in 2015 by a group of adventurers. Visitors and hikers will be able to learn about the trail's 8 districts by purchasing the Jordan Trail Pass in November 2020. An official lifetime trail pass and hiking journal are both included in the pass.

Adopt a Route is a new project of the JTA, which allows people and corporations to adopt small parts or entire areas of the trail in exchange for financial support of the JTA's efforts to maintain and develop the trail system.

Since the JTA's adoption of the "Adopt a Route" program was launched, individuals and corporations have been able to adopt small parts or entire regions of the trail in exchange for a financial contribution, as well as support for the association's awareness and cleanup initiatives.

Long-distance hiking trail, the Jordan Trail connects Um Qais in the north to Aqaba at its southern end. It is approximately 700 kilometers long, travels through 75 Jordanian cities and villages, and takes 40 days to finish. Numerous jobs have been established for local communities along the trail, including those who host homestays.

Numerous work possibilities have been created along the trail for residents of local communities, including those who provide homestays, campground logistics, and guided tours.
