On Sunday, November 14th to mark his late father's birthday, His Majesty King Abdullah bestowed the Order of the State Centennial on a number of royal family members and public figures who served in the Royal Hashemite Court during the reign of the late King Hussein.

 The ceremony held at the Al Husseiniya Palace was attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Prince Hashem on what would have been his 86th birthday

King Abdullah bestowed the Order of the State Centennial on the late Prince Muhammed bin Talal, in appreciation of his services and contributions to the advancement and progress of the nation during the reign of King Hussein, which he continued under His Majesty King Abdullah.

 


The King also bestowed the Order of the State Centennial on Their Royal Highnesses Princes Talal bin Muhammed and Ghazi bin Muhammad, in recognition of their contributions and dedication while working at the Royal Hashemite Court during the reign of King Hussein, and for their continued efforts under King Abdullah.



His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein receives the Order of the State Centennial on behalf of the late Bahauddin Toukan 



The honourees at the ceremony included former RHC chiefs, former Royal Protocol chiefs, former advisers to King Hussein, and others who served alongside the late king, as well as Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, for his service in the army and the RHC for over 64 years.

 




Earlier this year, His Majesty bestowed Royal medals marking the centennial on veterans of Al Karamah Battle and all the nation’s martyrs, as well as a number of leading figures on Jordan’s 75th Independence Day.

 

The King also bestowed medals on the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, the Public Security Directorate, the General Intelligence Department, and a number of military and security personnel, on the occasion of the centennial.

 








Moreover, His Majesty bestowed Royal medals on a number of national figures at a ceremony held by the government to mark the state’s centennial.

 Today March 30th, His Majesty King Abdullah II accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the exhibition held under the Productive Youth Program.



They spoke to the beneficiaries and viewed the various handmade sample products and handicrafts of the Productive Youth Initiative. Products on offer included carved wooden walking sticks, colourful ceramics and intricate white lights. 


His Majesty King Abdullah applauded the young Jordanian's entrepreneurial spirit, stressing the importance of small and home-based businesses, as well as self-employment projects in reducing unemployment.


Her Majesty who stepped out in a baby pink CALVIN KLEIN Windowpane-check double-breasted wool blazer and CALVIN KLEIN Windowpane-check wool trousers, paired with Malone Soulier MAUREEN LEATHER HEELS - WHITE , posted on instagram with the caption, written in both English and Arabic, read: "With His Majesty today to take a look at the handicrafts made by the Productive Youth Program. Always inspiring to see young people transforming their talents into promising projects #Jordan #LoveJO."


His Majesty urged them to share their experiences gained through the initiative with their peers, to promote the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment instead of job seeking, highlighting the need to market their products locally and internationally in cooperation with the private and public sectors.

On February 26th, Her Majesty paid a visit to the King Hussein Business Park in Amman, where she met with tech businesses specializing in the gaming and health sectors.

She began her visit at Tamatem offices, where she was welcome by CEO Hussam Hammo who gave her a tour of the office space and met with senior staff.

Tamatem is a leading mobile games publisher in the Arabic speaking region and during a sit down with senior staff members, Her Majesty applauded them for the great work they have been doing in the gaming industry and placing Jordan in a strategic competitive place.

She also spoke with other staff members and relayed His Majesty's words of encouragement and joy in seeing how the youth are involved in the kingdom's digitalization

She then visited Altibbi Health tech companies which is the no.1 Digital Health Platform in the Arab World(Middle East and North Africa region). Just like during at Tamatem Offices, she toured then spoke with staff to learn more about how the platform.

On Sunday July 28th8th, Her Majesty was in AL Barqa governorate to meet with the citizens of Al Salt. During her visit she met with the young Jordanian men and women where she learned about their work in the local community.

Her Majesty also met with female entrepreneurs who shared their stories, and experiences also detailing the financial independence and benefits that comes with managing their own businesses. 

Amongst the women the Queen consort met was Fatmeh Al Zo’bi, Um Muhammad. Fatmeh is the owner and manager of a traditional guesthouse. Her Majesty was given a tour of the guesthouse and introduced her to employees. Fatmeh informed Her Majesty that she employs local women, a number of whom run their own small businesses.

Her Majesty then attended a meeting with a group of active young Jordanians who gathered at Jordan Heritage Café in Al Salt, Her Majesty heard about their involvement in several local initiatives and contributions to their community and their efforts to boost tourism in the governorate by promoting Al Salt’s heritage and its picturesque destinations.

The Queen then walked along Al Khader Street and stopped by St. George Church, which was built in 1682 and renovated in 2004 by Al Salt’s Christian and Muslim communities.

Yesterday March 3rd, Her Majesty travelled to Wadi Shueib in the Al Balqa governorate, where she visited a group of women from a local charity.


Her Majesty was welcome by Um Omar and discussed with the women about the various home based initiatives. She also commended the ladies for their successful initiatives.


During a lunch which was prepared by the ladies and continued talking with the ladies.
