Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah inaugurated Al Karma Kitchen's new headquarters in Amman's Hay al Yasmine neighbourhood on Tuesday September 26th, meeting with a number of female employees and touring the latest facility.

During Her Majesty's visit, JRF Director General Enaam Barrisihi highlighted that the new facility was created to provide more work options for local women and to enhance their living conditions. JRF intends to hire 260 more beneficiaries and improve their abilities as a result of this growth.

Al Karma Kitchen, a Jordan River Foundation (JRF) social enterprise founded in 2006, intends to provide employment and training opportunities to local women with a culinary background in order to increase their skills and employability.

According to Mahfouz Said, Director of JRF Social Enterprises, the kitchen presently offers a variety of handcrafted food items, including a line of 13 frozen food products offered across 100 retail locations in Amman, Irbid, and Al Zarqa.

JRF's Operations Manager, Hamzah Abu Muheisin, further stated that Al Karma sells frozen foods to a number of notable hotels in Amman and exports to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with intentions to join the Kuwaiti market.

Al Karma, which provides ready-to-eat meals and catering services to both individual and corporate customers, hopes to boost its production capacity and export volume to satisfy growing demand and access a wider range of local and worldwide markets with its new headquarters.
