Interview on ABC’s GMA3
Yesterday Septemeber 22nd, Her Majesty appeared as a special guest and granted an interview with ABC's Good Morning America 3 New York hosts Amy Robach and T.J Holmes.
During the interview, Her Majesty Queen Rania spoke on the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her attendance at the State Funeral. Her Majesty spoke about the close relations the Kingdom of Jordan have had with the late British Monarch. Jordan was a protectorate of the United Kingdom until the 60's.
She also spoke about how HM Queen Elizabeth II influenced leadership and her impartiality in taking or expressing political views on World Issues.
She spoke on how the late monarch advised her and was open to advising her as she too became a queen consort at the young age of 28 on how to juggle her many hats.
Then she discussed how misinformation affects the world and it is its greatest threat with how it influences our thinking process to align with misinform people without properly fact checking the news they consume.
She openly discussed about the refugees situation in Ukraine and how different the treatment between refugees in Ukraine and those in other countries like Syria
T.J Holmes and Amy Robach then congratulated Her Majesty on the engagement of her two eldest children TRH Crown Prince Hussein to Ms. Rajwa and Princess Iman to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis a few weeks ago.
Her Majesty expressed her joy and informed us indeed she is happy to be adding new children(children in laws) and how she is planning two marriages next year. She did inform us that both children are getting married next year 3 months after another. Which means Princess Iman may be getting married either in March or September with Crown Prince Hussein getting married in June.
She also added that she couldnt wait to be a grandmother and a good one at that.
