For her first public work for 2022, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah went to visit Al Khader Street in Al Salt on Monday January 10th, where she met with the founders of many youth-led projects and learnt about their efforts to preserve the city's cultural legacy and give training and awareness programs on community-relevant problems.

Continuing her day in Al Salt, she went Al Khader Center, stopping by the location where the center's Friday bazaar used to take place. Al Khader Bazaar, considered the major effort, allows local craftsmen and entrepreneurs to present their handcrafted crafts and wares, such as accessories, embroideries, ceramics, and traditional cuisine items.

The center's cheap training programs, developed in collaboration with the area's seasoned business owners and craftsmen, seek to enable adolescents in Al Salt launch their own ventures while also maintaining local craftsmanship by handing down the wisdom of earlier generations.

Following the meeting, Her Majesty visited the Jordan Heritage Shop, where she browsed a range of handcrafted handicrafts by local women before proceeding to the Balqawi Wedding Experience.

The Balqawi Wedding Experience is a project that recreates real wedding rituals from the governorate of Al Balqa, to which Al Salt belongs, via acting performances for visitors and tourists. The interactive experience strives to honor and preserve Al Balqa's original wedding traditions.

Her Majesty met with Balqawi Wedding Experience officials as well as young leaders from local initiatives, Handrah Program, and Darbk Salek, who presented their intentions to expand prospects in Al Salt.

Handrah Program, founded by a young Jordanian named Mohamad Al Masri, is a youth leadership development program that spearheads numerous programs targeted at community building, with a special emphasis on youth organizations. Among its many programs, Handrah creates frameworks for corporate and governmental institutions to assist enhance employee performance, increase productivity, and achieve long-term sustainability. Furthermore, the program aids kids from low-income households in developing long-term income-generating activities. Three young groups in Al Salt, Irbid, and Ma'an have already been trained as part of the project.

Darbk Salek is a youth-led program supported by the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) and USAID that spreads awareness among residents about the need of exercising and adopting good living practices. In addition to conducting healthy living awareness seminars, the project gives Al Salt inhabitants the opportunity to participate in a variety of health-promoting activities such as cycling, walking, and outdoor aerobics.
