Visit to the United Arab Emirates

 His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, arrived in the United Arab Emirates from the Kingdom of Bahrain where they were bid farewell by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa on Tuesday November 23th.

Their Majesties were received at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs, and a number of senior Emirati officials.



H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) received and welcomed Her Majesty Queen Rania at the Al Bahr Palace.

 During the meeting, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima expressed her best wishes for more progress and prosperity between the UAE and Jordan. They also discussed the fraternal relations between the two peoples and cooperation in several fields, most notably their various foundations relating to women, children and youth in the two countries, and ways to develop cooperation and exchange expertise in this regard. 

Her Highness also briefed Her Majesty on the most important achievements accomplished by the UAE in terms of women empowerment which enabled them to be key contributors in the journey of development and prosperity witnessed by the UAE. Also pointing to the importance of exchanging expertise in the development domains among fraternal countries, which enhances development and progress for its peoples and the region. 

Later in the evening Sheikha Fatima hosted a banquet in honour of Queen Rania Al Abdullah.
