Meeting with Women from Abbadi Tribe
Her Majesty Queen Rania responded to an invitation from a group of women from the Abbadi tribe by meeting by joining the gathering at the Al Mu’tamed bin Abbad Charitable Society in Amman, on September 30th .
Her Majesty was welcomed to the gathering by Founder of the Nashmiyat Bani Abbad group, Dr. Mervat Mheirat, as well as Al Mu’tamed bin Abbad Charitable Society President, Dr. Abed Al Ghani Al Nahar, and Vice President, Ibrahim Al Mheirat.
She thanked Dr. Mheirat and the group for their kind invitation, and described each of the women as a dear sister and family member. She also expressed her appreciation for the women’s deep-rooted devotion to their country and their fellow Jordanians, and commended them for their invaluable contributions to different fields.
During the gathering, she heard from several members of the group on their charitable and volunteer work, as well as their efforts in the fields of craftsmanship, heritage preservation, and domestic tourism. A number of the women contribute to the maintenance of public facilities and the preservation of the environment on a voluntary basis, while others are small business owners.
