Her Majesty met with Female entrepreneur in Al Karak
On Wednesday May 1st, Her Majesty Queen Rania paid a visit to Karak Governorate, where she met with female entrepreneurs and business owners.
According to reports, Her Majesty visited 03-Incubator. The business incubator was launched by Trip to Innovation (TTI), Jordanian non-profit organization and they support 10 early-stage tech startups founded by young women from the Governorate.
She was welcome by TTI's CEO Belal Raslan and Vice President Neda’ Kharoub, both of whom joined her as she toured various female entrepreneurs. She spoke with each of them both individually as well as collectively as they shared their opinions on the state of entrepreneurship in their areas. Her Majesty also learned about how the incubators helps in fostering the development of the women’s businesses from its Project Coordinator, Rafah Tarawneh,
Her Majesty expressed with joy, her confidence in the capabilities and achievements of the young women, adding that incubators and other similar institutions play a key role in the empowerment of youth across Jordan, according to Her office's statement sent to the Jordan's Time.
Leaving the incubators, Her Majesty was gladly stopped by three lovely girls as she was on her way to another visit in the Governorate. She spoke and laughed with the girls asking how they were doing and remove her necklace giving it to one of them.
Following that Her Majesty Queen Rania stopped at her second engagement by the Karaki Jameed House. The house is a cultural heritage preservation project that raises awareness about the roots and cultural significance of traditional Jordanian foods.
Her Majesty in her capacity as a Jordanian cultural ambassador, emphasized the importance of such projects in enriching Jordan’s tourism sector, explaining that tourists seek out cultural experiences that inspire them to prolong their visits to tourism destinations, according to the statement.
She was briefed by the House's founders, Amani and Ayat Bashabsheh, on the history of their project and their future plans to grow their business.
Her Majesty later joined the House's beneficiaries and joined in the process of cooking Mansaf Jordan’s national dish.
Mansaf is a traditional Jordanian dish made of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served with rice or bulgur.
