During their second and last day visit in the United Arab Emirates before jetting off to Pakistan, Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania visited The Louvre Abu Dhabi.
They toured the halls, the first international museum in the Arab world, and took a first hand look at art pieces displayed that date back to various ages.
The Louvre sheds light on human artistic creativity as well as common values of different civilizations and cultures.
Among the exhibits is one of the ancient statues of Ain Ghazal, which was selected as a sample of the 36 statues found at the Ain Ghazal archaeological site in Amman. It tells the history of the ancient civilizations that settled in Jordan, 10,000 years ago.
