His Majesty King Abdullah II left for the United Arab Emirates accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania for an official working visit.

On arrival, Their Majesties were received at the airport by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed. Which followed with talks on the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the UAE, as well as the latest regional developments.

His Majesty re-affirmed the strong, brotherly ties between the two countries, and the advanced levels they have reached in all areas, stressing keenness to bolster joint action and cooperation in the service of the two peoples.

They both discussed about the biggest topic which is affecting the region right now "Palestine"  amongst many things.

After this His Majesty visited Wahat Al Karama (the Oasis of Dignity), which is a tribute to those who have given their lives to safeguard the UAE, and laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial.

Discussions with UAE Vice President:

His Majesty also sat down for talks with UAE Vice President, prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

They had various discussions, expressed their pride in the strong relations between the two countries

Tomorrrow Their Majesties will in Pakistan for another working visit.

*His Majesty and His Highness are related via marriage. His Highness is married the Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Hussein (younger sister to His Majesty King Abdullah II)
