During her visit, she took part in the discussion with sixteen designers moderated by Ms. Jabaji and Amman Design Week co-director Ms. Abeer Seikaly.

The debate focused on the status of design education in Jordan, the need to increase awareness about the sector, and the collaboration between Design Institute Amman and the Amman Design Week team.

She emphasized the importance of enlarging the circle of interest in the design sector to include its integration into Jordanian culture and its inclusion in various educational fields. Also expressed her support for the institute’s continued collaboration with professional and talented designers to maintain interest and participation in the design sector.

Her first stop was at the institute’s Jewelry Lab, a space dedicated to classes and workshops on the art of jewelry making and design.

The Queen met with a group of students enrolled in the course and inquired about the specific jewelry making techniques they use, as well as their motivation behind choosing to learn these particular skills. A sample of the students’ work was on display at the main hall.

She also met with students from the institute’s Graphic Design classroom, where the introductory level Graphic Design program is taught. And listened to various success stories on how participants have managed to enhance their basic design skills and gain a firm grasp on the course’s professional applications.

The next tour stop was the ‘Introduction to Fashion Design’ class, where the Queen participated in a discussion with its students  regarding their interest in fashion design,  and the expansion of their creativity through the program.
