For this awards ceremony, (I will be updating her outfits as soon as I i.d the pieces), she opted for a clean-cut professional style, she wore the Yves Saint Laurent Silk-satin LAVALIERE BOW BLOUSE. The blouse features a concealed front button placket, long sleeves, button cuffs, a straight hem and a lightly pleated tulle lavaliere bow. Paired with a Dior skirt from the READY-TO-WEAR

The ceremony honoured international female leaders in areas of economic empowerment, political development, and human rights.
In her acceptance remarks, she referred to the plight of women and young girls in areas of conflict and instability across the Middle East from Iraq, Yemen and Syria, re-emphasized the pivotal role education plays in extracting these women from their grim realities by providing them with “the knowledge they need to excel.” Instead of perceiving them as weak and docile, she asked that they be seen as purveyors of tangible change.
“One of the ways each of you can help is by challenging preconceptions. Resist the easy stereotypes attached to Arab women: pitied as helpless and submissive on the one hand, labeled as threats on the other,” the Queen said.
“For me, as a woman, an Arab, and a Muslim, I take this issue personally,” she added.
Changing our reality is up to us. As Arabs, we must fight for our own future. But each of you can help too, by challenging preconceptions— Rania Al Abdullah (@QueenRania) March 9, 2017
Everything we seek for our region’s future depends on women being full participants and, increasingly, women being at the forefront #GLA17— Rania Al Abdullah (@QueenRania) March 9, 2017
I am convinced that #education is our best hope for lifting the darkness. To combat those who destroy and invest in those who can create— Rania Al Abdullah (@QueenRania) March 9, 2017
Women across the Arab world are lifting the lamp of enlightenment high. But this progress is being held back by conflict and instability— Rania Al Abdullah (@QueenRania) March 9, 2017
