After their one day working visit to Egypt on Tuesday January 17th, His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, arrived in the United Arab Emirates.
Their Majesties were received at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs, and a number of senior Emirati officials.
Sheikha H.H. Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Family Development Foundation (FDF), greeted Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan today.
During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, Sheikha Fatima welcomed Queen Rania and wished her a pleasant stay in the UAE.
During the meeting, which was attended by other Sheikhas and female leaders, Sheikha Fatima and Queen Rania shared pleasant words, highlighting the UAE's close ties with Jordan.
They also addressed ways to strengthen collaboration between Emirati and Jordanian organizations working with women, children, and family issues.
Sheikha Fatima then hosted a luncheon in Queen Rania's honor, which was attended by a number of Sheikhas and female authorities.
