King Abdullah II, accompanied by Queen Rania, left for an official visit to Japan on Thursday, followed by a visit to the United Kingdom.

Their Majesties is set to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan during his visit to Tokyo, which will also be accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein.

His Majesty also met with Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to discuss the two countries' strategic alliance and ways to strengthen it in different spheres, including the economy, as well as regional and international developments.

In Tokyo, the King will also meet Speaker of the House of Representatives Hosoda Hiroyuki, President of the House of Councillors Hidehisa Otsuji, and a number of other officials.

Meeting with Their Imperial Majesties:

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan met with Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan at Tokyo Imperial Palace.

At the meeting, attended by Queen Rania & Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah lauded the deep-rooted friendship between Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Family and Japan’s Imperial Family, and the strong ties between the governments and peoples of the two countries.

The meeting covered the advanced partnership between Jordan and Japan in various fields, in addition to recent regional and international developments.
