Her Majesty Queen Rania met with the Robo Stars team from the King Abdullah II Secondary School for Excellence in Irbid to congratulated the team on its achievements in the 2017 First Lego League (FLL). This meeting was done at the Al Husseinya Palace in Amman

Her Majesty congratulated the group for winning the 1st Place Champions Award at the competition, as well as the Champions Award Finalist, 2nd Place Robot Performance Award, and the Coach/Mentor Award. She also praised the principle, coach, as well as the school faculty for promoting a school culture that supports innovation and the success of its students.

 “You made us proud,” the Queen said, explaining that His Majesty King Abdullah, a strong advocate for innovation in technology, is always pleased to see young innovative Jordanian boys and girls competing and winning in competitions around the world.

The team shared stories of their experience, and told the Queen about their preparations for the competition and their future plans taking Jordanian innovation and technology to its highest summit.
