On Sunday October 24th, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah travelled to Al Zarqa Governorate where she hosted a lunch for female representative of various sectors, where she commended the distinguished women for leaving a mark on their community.
The lunch was held at the Hashemite University’s campus, where she was welcomed by the university’s Vice President, Sultan Maani, and Al Zarqa’s Governor, Hasan Jbour, before having a discussion with the women who work at various educational institutions, and are active in social, volunteer, and youth-related work.
Addressing the women, Her Majesty said: “You are the mothers, sisters, and wives of men making us proud through their commitment and dedication to the country.”
Jbour thanked Her Majesty for the visit, which he noted reflects love for Jordan’s people. He also conveyed how much of an honor it is for the governorate to have this meeting, and concluded by stressing his appreciation for Her Majesty’s various initiatives across the kingdom.
