 During a brief visit in Italy during the week, on Wednesday April 9th, Her Majesty Queen Rania met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome.



Prime Minister Meloni received Her Majesty in Rome’s Villa Doria Pamphili, where they discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Her Majesty highlighted the lack of food, medical supplies, and basic necessities following the suspension of aid deliveries into the Strip. She also discussed the daily increasing number of Orphans in the strip.



Her Majesty praised Italy's aid and emphasized the growing orphan crisis. They also discussed the importance of Italian Development Cooperation's projects in Jordan's education and child protection.


This is the Queen's second trip to Italy as the last time she attended the Vatican's World Summit with His Holiness Pope Francis and visited touristic sites with First lady Laura Mattarella

On Monday December 5th, His Majesty King Abdullah accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the start of his working visit to Italy.




The bilateral meeting, held at the Quirinale Palace, presidential palace in Rome with the attendance of the Italian president's daughter Laura Mattarella, covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Italy and several issues of mutual interest and means of bolstering cooperation across several fields.

 




 While His Majesty attended another expanded meeting with President Mattarella, attended by Jordanian and Italian senior officials, where he expressed appreciation for the longstanding relations between the two countries, stressing Italy's crucial role in the region, Her Majesty was given a tour of the historic Quirinale Palace by first daughter Laura Mattarella.
